STEAM-Focused
Art, Craft & Creative Learning
Because Kids Learn Best
When Learning Is Fun!
Welcome To The Paper Scissors Squad
Fun, hands-on classes where children aged 4–12 can make, experiment, explore new ideas and discover just how creative they can be.
At Paper Scissors Squad, every session gives children the chance to use their imagination, try something new and enjoy the pride of creating something for themselves.
Big Ideas. Busy Hands. Proud Little Creators.
Children are naturally curious. Give them the right materials, a little encouragement and the freedom to explore, and there is no telling what they might create.
Paper Scissors Squad brings art, craft and STEAM-inspired learning together in fun, welcoming sessions designed for children aged 4–12 years.
Through painting, building, designing, experimenting and making, children can express themselves, solve problems and grow in confidence, all while having a brilliant time.
They may arrive ready to make something new, but they leave with much more than the project in their hands.
- Creativity Encouraged
- Confidence Built
- Imaginations Set Free
STEP AWAY FROM THE CONSOLE AND PUT DOWN THE PHONE!
Is it time to give their imagination something better to do?
Screens can be entertaining, but children also need opportunities to get hands-on, make a little mess, test their ideas and become completely absorbed in something they have created themselves.
Paper Scissors Squad offers a fun and sociable alternative to passive screen time, with engaging activities that encourage children to think, make, experiment and share.
There is no project hunting, no cupboard full of leftover materials and no glitter-covered kitchen table for parents to clean afterwards.
We prepare the activities, provide the materials and take care of the mess.
Your child simply gets to turn up, join in and create.
Creative Fun Without the Planning, Shopping
OR THE CLEANING!
Finding worthwhile activities for children can take more time and effort than expected. First comes the search for an idea, then the materials, the preparation and let’s not forget the clearing up afterwards.
At Paper Scissors Squad, everything is prepared before your child arrives. We plan each activity, provide the materials and take care of the mess, so children can enjoy the best part: making, experimenting, bringing their ideas to life and making friends.
- Everything Prepared: Each session is carefully planned with an engaging, age-appropriate creative activity.
- Materials Included: The tools and materials needed for the session are ready and waiting.
- No Mess at Home: Your child enjoys all the creative fun without your kitchen table becoming the casualty.
More Than Just Arts and Crafts
Every Paper Scissors Squad session combines creativity with hands-on, STEAM-inspired learning.
As children design, build, experiment and make, they naturally practise problem-solving, decision-making and independent thinking, without it ever feeling like a lesson.
The focus is simple: have fun, try new things and feel proud of what you create.

What Happens at Paper Scissors Squad?
Each session begins with a fresh creative idea and everything children need to bring it to life.
They may paint, build, design, decorate, experiment or work with new materials and techniques. Along the way, they are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and put their own personality into what they create.
Every child works at their own pace, with friendly guidance and plenty of encouragement.
They leave with something they have made, new skills they have practised and a real sense of achievement.
Meet Carol
Paper Scissors Squad was created by Carol, a lifelong crafter with a passion for helping children learn through making, experimenting and having fun.
With experience working with children and families, a patient and encouraging approach, and a strong belief that there is no such word as “can’t”, Carol wants every child to feel welcome, supported and proud of what they create.
A Creative Club Parents Can Feel Good About
Choosing an activity for your child is about more than finding something fun. You also want to know they will be welcomed, encouraged and treated with care.
Paper Scissors Squad is being created as a friendly, well-organised environment where children can enjoy being creative, try new things and build confidence at their own pace.
You can learn more about Carol, the values behind the club and the steps taken to provide a safe and supportive experience on our About page.
